Help! Man Overboard. Happiness Lost and Found.

Are YOU unhappy? Is Happiness eluding you?

Happiness ...is sailing

Were you just sailing through life, pretty much minding your own business when .....WHAM - WIPEOUT!

A couple of life-changing events threw you overboard into a sea of darkness and despair.

Still the black clouds keep rolling in and the waves grow ever higher and rougher,

Drained of energy, life keeps dragging you under and it is hard to keep your head above water.

You ask yourself, 'how did this happen, how did I come to be in this place?

'Some days are black and painful and at times you wonder if you will ever escape the dungeons of heartache, loneliness and misery.

You ask, 'will I ever be happy again?

Do you want to BE HAPPY AGAIN?

Life changing events happen to all of us and we are rarely adequately prepared! I know, I've been there and through a lot of work and soul searching survived to tell the tale. The circumstances will be different... You may be suffering through
  • the loss of loved ones or treasured pets. Read about the grief cycle
  • the breakup of a relationship or a divorce
  • feeling stuck in a job or career you hate
  • enduring a loveless or abusive marriage
  • being a carer or having serious health issues of your own
  • low moods and depression.
BUT the outcome may be the same - life stinks!

Back then I lived in a blame culture. I felt strongly that my life had been stolen right out from under my very nose. (Read my black clouds story ) It was the only possible explanation!

Yes I wallowed in self pity for a while (don't we all) but then I took positive action and chased down what became known as my 'Happiness Pirates.' ...I took back my precious bounty, reclaimed my self esteem and my life.

YOU too can rediscover how to be happy once more.

Your Happiness May be Tested

happiness is... a breeze

Your happiness may be tested
In small ways every day
Or by a life event so massive
That will sweep it clean away
Yet happiness once known
Waits silently in the wings
Ready for you to rediscover
The sweet melody that it sings

Take comfort in the knowing
It's no stranger to your door
For if you've ever known happiness
You'll recognise it once more
This time it will taste sweeter
Its colours brighter still
Bringing joy and upliftment
Be sure to drink your fill
