Don't listen to anyone who tells you it's impossible to be happy - they just don't know HOW to be happy yet.
You've heard the saying 'whether you believe you can or believe you can't you're probably right.' If you believe it is impossible then you are tripping yourself up and falling at the first hurdle. Check out how and why you should set Happiness as your goal!

#TIP TWO ~ COMMUNICATE WITH GOOD FEELINGS

Remember - according to the Universal Law of Attraction, if you give out negative thoughts, then negative answers are returned to you. When you communicate with good feelings, then good stuff happens.
When you're having a bad day and everyone around seems grouchy, check your own body language, voice tone and the language you are using. Communication is a mirror and what you give out is what you get back, but sometimes you just don't see it.
Still think it's not you! Take a little time to people watch (from a discreet distance of course.) Note the subtleties of facial gestures, breathing, posture.

#TIP THREE ~ SURROUND YOURSELF WITH THINGS YOU LOVE

-Your environment is important to your well-being. Avoid energy drain. Surround yourself with things you love. Choose colours and fabrics that make you feel good. Have on display only those things that are uplifting, joyful, fun. If you really cannot bear to part with some possesssions, then store them in the loft, the basement or the shed

#TIP FOUR ~ LAUGH OUT LOUD - long and often

- even if you think you have no reason. Laughter is the best medicine and a daily belly laugh beats off those blues. January 24th is Global Belly Laugh Day.
Wake up with a smile. The minute your feet hit the floor, smile some more. The first time you look at yourself in the mirror smile, giggle, medium laugh, laugh heartily to wake up your laugh. Greet the people you meet with a high five and say, It is Global Belly Laugh Day!
Don't leave it at that, keep practising all year through!

#TIP FIVE ~ SPEND TIME WITH PEOPLE WHO MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF

- ditch the rest. Who are the lemons in your life?
Most of us have friends, colleagues and family who leave us feeling drained, exasperated, frustrated, bored or downright angry. Limit the time you spend with them.
If you really have to... then meet with them on your terms, on neutral territory e.g. coffe bar, park etc. where you feel comfortable. Choose friends who make your feel good about yourself. You don't have to accept the 'put downs,' the sarcastic comments, and undermining of who you are.
It's a toxic relationship you can well do without. End it now. You deserve more!

#TIP SIX ~ KNOW YOUR OWN HAPPINES MANTRA

-and recite it often. What's that one little thing you say, think or picture, that ALWAYS lifts you. What song, piece of music or voice inside your head lifts your spirits, makes you feel happy and elated.
Don't have one yet? Then you have work to do. Here's a good place to start.

#TIP SEVEN ~ RECALL HAPPY MEMORIES OFTEN

- talk with friends and family, visit and revisit memorable places, look through old photo albums. Can you remember what life was like when you were 8, 15, 27? What's your earliest ever happy memory?
Think back, or jot down good memories from school days, college, first job etc. Recall childhood pets, holiday memories and the funniest things/most exciting things that have ever happened to you...and smile.

#TIP EIGHT ~ CHANGE YOUR PHYSIOLOGY

Feeling down? - Peter Pan flew by thinking happy thoughts. If you can't change your thoughts, then change your body. Walk, dance, jog - changing your physiology changes your mood. Keep your eyeline above the horizon or better still look up, at the sky, the trees, even the ceiling. Change the activity and do something different - go for a walk, dance, sing happy songs, move around.
Don't play sad or melancholic music - that'll keep you where you are. Play something upbeat and happy. It will change your physiology.

#TIP NINE ~ SET YOUR BOUNDARIES

- and keep to them. Setting boundaries is the cornerstone of preserving your self-esteem. Yes you're worth it!. Be sure to let others know what is acceptable and what isn't. Avoid a victim mentality, be asserive not aggressive. They'll soon stop pushing your HOT buttons.

#TIP TEN ~ WEAR BRIGHTER COLOURS

- Ditch the dull and dreary. Colour affects your mood, your energy and your confidence. Discover the characteristics of your favourite colours in these color poems.
If you wear a uniform or dark work clothes, then find an accent color to balance them out and wear a pretty neckscarf, pocket handkerchief, brooch, jewellery, handbag or accessories.
If it's not appropriate to wear them on the outside, then spoil yourself with some fantastic brightly coloured underwear, or socks. Sweet!

All things are possible and there's an easy way to do anything.
Life is only complicated if you make it so.
