Earth, Wind and Water
A walk on the beach
The breeze on your face
Footprints in the sand
That leave not a trace
As the waves they roll in
Rhythmically lapping the shore
The power of the ocean
Hear its mighty roar
Yet calm is all around
Find your own inner peace
Earth wind, and water
Combine to release
Negative thoughts -
Washed away by the tide
Balance and harmony
Feel centred inside
Hand in hand with the elements
Dancing water at your feet
The ocean stretching before you
A horizon never to meet
A walk on the beach
A stroll on the sand
Just you and nature -
Together you stand

Happy Poems 5.
Declutter Happy
Stack it, store it, box it, shelve it,
Throw it, bin it, gift it, repair it,
Recycle, Freecycle, Charity shop or friend
Ebay, Antique shop, bargain ad or mend.
Books, clothes, tools, electronic games and toys,
Guitars, recorders, organs and other noise,
Gadgets old and new, that little black dress,
Ornaments, adornments, paperwork and mess.
Trash or treasure, how do you measure,
Sentiment, attachment, pain or pleasure,
Own it, hoard it, emotional ties,
Deal with it, clear it, open your eyes.
Just in case! What a waste! Ah there it is!
Not seen this for ages! - Just the bizz,
Lose that weight, I remember that date,
This I love and that ....I hate
This is just stuff and you've moved on,
It's belongs in the past - the past is gone,
Catalogue it, photo album. select the best,
Organise and cherish, discard the rest.

A Happy Plan
Believe in yourself
Banish self-doubt to a far off,
Distant land
Motivate yourself
To have the life that you want,"
Seize happinesss by the hand
Energise yourself
Act true to your being,
Remember you are unique
Congratulate yourself
You did it!
Found the happiness you seek.

Happy Holidays / Happy Vacation
Holidays are happy days
Long hot sunny summer days,
Beachside, poolside, wind-down...laze
Work-free, hassle-free, carefree ways.
Take a city tour - the sounds and sights,
History, art, cultural highlights,
West End, Broadway, clubland, party nights,
Pub, bistro, restaurants,local delights.
London bus, yellow cab, rickshaw, tuk-tuk,
Hiking, trekking, camping, hotels to book,
Lonely Planet, Rough Guide,
Michelin, take a look,
Golfing, ski-ing, surfing, learn to cook.
Friends, family, acquaintances to greet,
Airports, seaports, holiday reps to meet,
Holidays are happy days, hard to beat,
Snapshots, video, memories complete.

Happy Poems 8.
Being a nana, grandma is a privilege. Writing my grandchildren poems / grandson poems reminds me of the pleasure and joy they bring.

Squeals of Delight
A squeal of delight Says 'nana is here' He's too young to speak But his excitement is clear Eyes sparkle with pleasure A wide cheeky grin He stands poised at the door And welcomes her in Rushes into her arms He is lifted aloft Baby hair so fine, Baby skin so soft.
The games that they play Are full of laughter and giggles Hide-and-seek, Peek-a-boo, Nursery Rhymes, silly wiggles And words are not needed There's little to say 'Cos nana's and toddlers Just know how to play And the squeals of delight Gain momentum and pace As all round the house The two of them chase
Then time for a picnic
Pretend play of course A ride on the tractor, The trike or the horse A beanbag to throw And a football to kick Climbing slowly upstairs Sliding down - his latest trick Making marks on paper With crayons or chalk Building wooden brick towers Eating lunch with a fork
And squeals of delight
Such laughter and fun
Between a doting grandmother
And her precious grandson
Now it's time to go home
So goodbyes are said
To receive his kiss
He offers his head
Playtime is over
Just for today
But Nana will return
For she too loves to play.

Happy Poems 9.
Are You Happy?
Are you happy
How can you tell
Does life just flow
Is everything swell?
No head full of worries
No heart full of pain
No anguish or sorrow
No frustrated brain
No feathers to ruffle
No temper to flare
But a feeling of lightness
Like gliding on air
...And a pride in your being
The you that you are
Embrace it and cherish it
You're a happiness star.

Happy Poems 10.
The Measure of Happiness
Happiness is a warm inner glow
Looking out on newly fallen snow
A bird soaring in flight
A wondrous starry night
A crackling winter fire
A quirky twisted church spire
Children's eyes filled with excitement
Spiritual enlightenment
A family reunion
Holy communion
A puppy playing fetch
A humorous sketch
And Work that is a pleasure...
So how do YOU measure
Your personal happiness?

Our Bob
A Labradoodle, you ask
My..what's one of those
Part Labrador, part Poodle
From his head to his toes
That's our Bob the dog
Our own chocolate volcano
His silky yumminess ripples
Like cinnmaon and muscovado
More than a mischievous pup
A nightmare on paws
Escape artist extraordinaire
...Anything to get out-of-doors
At training classes
We're the centre of attention
For all the wrong reasons
Too numerous to mention
'FOUR PAWS ON THE GROUND'
Shouts the trainer once more
Bob bounces back down to earth
But he just can't count to four
Like a todddler he's growing
And learning new ways
I'll be glad when he's older
I'm counting the days
This lovable rogue
Brings such pleasure and joy
He's so full of energy
A typical boy!

Happy Poems 12.
Angel Dust
A newly fallen blanket white
Such calm and stillness befell the night
As nature's softness clothed the scene
In angel dust, icing tapestry green
Winter branches edged with lace
Trimmed with snowflakes, bowed in grace
Oh heaven's bounty wondrously floated
It's picturesque beauty graciously noted
Pauline Oliver
Happy Poems 12
Little Bird
A little bird with flash of red
Looked at me and cocked his head
His tiny frame gainst bark of tree
Camouflaged as you can see
His fragile frame holds no fear
When in your garden, he'll be near
This iconic red-breasted chappie
Is guaranteed to make you happy
