So show your appreciation
Record your admiration
Recognition of the station
A mother holds in life
Your mom, my mum
Motherhood of nations
Pay homage to the bearer
Of future generations

I heard her say
I'm really not worth
All the fuss
Yet her hair is so neat
New high heels on her feet
Her best jacket hangs
Ready and waiting
So don't you be rotten
And say you've forgotten
To arrange the Mothers Day

Caress that soft baby skin
Share warm cuddles and hugs
And that deep soulful gaze
At your heartstrings it tugs

Know that this is real love
More intense than all other

Your warming smile
A break from chores
Breakfast in bed
A day outdoors
